What is included in my cruise?
Your cruise includes bottled water, a cooler with ice, fuel, snorkeling equipment, a floating pad, floaties, and pick-up at a marina in Coconut Grove (near Downtown Miami). Some cruises also include paddle boards and additional equipment.
Are tips included in the price?
Gratuities are not included in the price but are appreciated. It’s customary to tip 15-20% of the charter cost, depending on your experience.

What should I bring?
We recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, a bathing suit, a towel, a hat, and soft-soled shoes (or go barefoot if you prefer). You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks. Alcoholic beverages are allowed but must be consumed responsibly by guests over 21 years old.
What are the exact timings of the cruises?
Timings are approximate and depend on the time of year.
-
Sunset Cruise (4-5 hours): Departure around 4:00 PM, return around 8:00 PM
-
Half-Day and Full-Day Private Charter: Choose your time between 9:00 AM and 10:00 PM
-
Overnight Cruise (24 hours): Departure around 12:00 PM, return early afternoon the next day
We can accommodate specific timing requests. Please note that as we rely on natural energy (wind), the duration may vary. Please arrive on time for departure, and allow flexibility for a smooth and enjoyable return.
Will I get seasick?
We primarily sail in the calm waters of the bay, where the largest waves are often caused by power yachts and subside quickly. The catamaran is very stable, and The Bubble is designed for ocean crossings, making it very seaworthy. If you’re concerned, you can take Dramamine or bring anti-nausea wristbands, but most guests don’t need them.
Are kids welcome?
Absolutely! We love having children on board. However, we ask that parents closely supervise their kids at all times, ensuring they wear life jackets and follow boat rules. Please inform us of the children’s sizes and weights so we can provide appropriate life jackets. Each child counts as a passenger.
Can pets join the fun?
We love pets, and our dog often sails with us. However, some pets may feel uneasy on the boat. Let us know about your pet, and we’ll likely be happy to welcome them aboard.
I can’t swim. Can I still come?
Many sailors from past centuries couldn’t swim—yet most returned safely! We have comfortable life jackets for everyone. While swimming is not required, you’ll enjoy the experience more if you’re comfortable in the water.
Where do we meet?
The boat is moored east of Dinner Key Marina, 3400 Pan American Drive, Coconut Grove, FL 33313. We’ll pick you up at a nearby marina. Parking is pay-to-park, and it’s easier to unload at the pier first before parking. There are usually carts available at the dock entrance to help carry your belongings.
What is the cancellation policy?
We respect your time and appreciate the same courtesy. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice are difficult to fill.
-
Trips may be canceled up to 7 days before sailing at no cost.
-
Between 7 days and 48 hours before sailing, we can reschedule for a future date.
-
Cancellations made 48 hours or less before departure will be charged the full amount unless rescheduled for the same charter duration.
-
If The Sea Bubble cancels due to weather, unavailable crew, or boat issues, we will issue a full refund unless you choose to reschedule. Weather cancellations are rare.
The Captain reserves the right to cancel or abort any charter without a refund if any of the following occur:
-
Passenger intoxication
-
Illegal drug use
-
Unruly or reckless behavior
-
Criminal activity or violation of local laws and boating regulations

What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety is our top priority. In case of severe weather conditions (like storms or strong winds), the captain will decide whether to proceed with or postpone the trip. We rarely cancel due to weather, but if necessary, we’ll offer a reschedule or a full refund.
Is there Wi-Fi or cell service onboard?
While cell service is typically available near the shore, we do not provide Wi-Fi on board during day and overnight cruises. We encourage you to disconnect and enjoy the natural surroundings. However, you’re welcome to use your own mobile data if service allows.
On longer cruises we offer high speed internet via Starlink.

Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own food and beverages, including alcohol (for guests over 21). We also offer optional catering services if you prefer a prepared meal onboard.
What amenities are on board?
The Bubble features three private double cabins, a spacious cockpit, a galley, and a large foredeck for lounging. There are also two toilets and a shower. We provide snorkeling gear, floating pads and paddle boards on some cruises.
Can I extend my trip while onboard?
If you’re enjoying your time and wish to extend your trip, we will accommodate the request whenever possible. Extensions depend on availability and are subject to additional fees.

Can we customize our itinerary?
Absolutely! We’re happy to work with you to create a personalized itinerary based on your preferences and available time. Just let us know what you have in mind, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Can I or a friend of mine captain the Sea Bubble?
No, our insurance has approved a list of "operators" that can be in charge of the boat when she is sailing. One of these persons has to be the Captain when you charter the boat. Off course, he will be happy to have you participate in the operation if you want to.

Why don't you give a price including crew?
By law, the owner cannot require the charterer to hire a specific captain. The charterer must hire the crew independently. The owner may provide a list of captains who are qualified to operate the boat, but the official agreement must be between the charterer and the crew.
